Tuesday night marked another installment of #uncapped presented by Vitamin water. Headlined by Jeremih, featuring a set from run the jewels and DJ ENVY, this year took a different direction than previous Uncapped events. Held at Stage 37, this was an 18+ event which meant no alcohol unlike previous years. This venue was also larger than in years past, with a max capacity around 500 people. Though not packed the line outside wrapped around the corner and had wait times or more than 30 mins.
Run the Jewels opened the evening and took their performance to the crowd, literally as Killer Mike got in the audience to close out the set. After a set by Dj Envy featuring edited songs for the 18+ crowd, Jeremih took the helm. Coming out with “Put it down on me”, from the onset the audio was plagued with difficulties, and the audience was not sure what to expect. After bringing out Estelle, who preformed American Boy, Jeremih got his footing and performed regained the crowd. After performing “Birthday sex” Jeremih brought Harlem native, Vado out. However it was not until he brought out NYC hip-hop mainstay, Fabolous that the everyone went ape shit. Featured on two of the more popular songs off Loso’s last mixtape, Jeremih was offered the rare treat of seeing the duo perform to the attendees of #uncapped
